About Me
I am a writer, essayist, and poet. I was born in Washington, DC, and have lived there most of my life, with a brief stint in The Philippines. I am a librarian currently working in a public-facing role.
I was the first place recipient of Fredericksburg Coalition of Reason 2017 Religious Freedom Essay Contest, as well as one of three winning essayists for the 2018 contest. I have spoken to the Fredericksburg Humanist society on the subject of religious freedom for minorities in the United States. My essays have been recognized by the English department at the University of Mary Washington, where I have twice spoken at the annual Kemp Symposium. I also served as the nonfiction editor for issue 5.2 of the Rappahanock Review.
Recently, I have had my work published by Indolent Books, Bridge Eight, and The Bookends Review. I am a contributor to All About Romance, and I have conducted interviews of writers quarterly for The Festival Review’s Inkhorn.
I am an advocate for freedom of information, education, and literacy. I’m a feminist, avid reader, and cat enthusiast. In my spare time, I work on cross-stitching projects, garden, and read.
